Hurricane Forecast Downgraded

A private forecaster, WSI Corp, downgraded its prediction of the
number of named storms that will form in the
Atlantic. The reason for the downgrade? Cooler
than expected water temperatures:
Regardless of whether WSI's forecast ends up being correct, the fact that the Atlantic is cooler than expected is interesting information for global warming skeptics."Because the ocean temperatures have not yet rebounded from the significant drop in late spring, we have decided to reduce our forecast numbers slightly," said Todd Crawford, a WSI seasonal forecaster.
